On the importance of the canvas
The canvas is the key element that gives a pair of jeans their character. It determines their flexibility, durability, resistance over time, and how they acquire a unique patina. In Nîmes, we exclusively weave 100% blue cotton canvases, using unique techniques to make them durable, resistant, and to develop an exceptional patina. For the other canvases, we carry out a careful selection among the best French and Italian weavers.
Currently, our natural and black canvases come from Le Thillot (France). However, we are currently producing our first meters of natural canvas in Nîmes, with the aim of launching our first collections in January 2024.
Our soft canvas with a touch of elastane is woven in Italy. It comes in three finishes: One Wash Blue, Three Year Blue and Black.
The Blue of Nîmes Brut
It's THE old-school blue jeans, perfect for purists.
These jeans in their “raw” state have not undergone any treatment.
An “original” canvas, like in the pioneer days, which will acquire a patina over time and whose fading and wear marks will be unique.
For this type of fabric, we advise you to wash your jeans for the first time after 6 months, AND to choose them in a ½ size larger than the one you usually take because they may shrink a little in the first wash.

The Blue of Nîmes - A wash
Rinsed blue jeans
The fabric is the same as for raw jeans except that we have chosen to do a single rinse. That is to say that the jeans are pre-washed in order to avoid any risk of shrinkage, blue color on the hands but also and above all, to provide immediate comfort. The fabric is thus softer than on raw jeans.
The washing of this canvas is done in a workshop that uses enzymatic products. Thanks to enzymes, the exposure of personnel to toxic handling is greatly reduced or even non-existent. This is in respect of Man and the Environment.

The Blue of Nîmes - Three years
Here the jeans look like rather worn, faded jeans.
This canvas is washed with ozone, a gas that saves 80 to 90% of water, and above all avoids the use of toxic solvents, which pollute the environment and are harmful to the health of workers.

Natural canvas
Here the thread is ecru, not dyed. Jeans that don't look like jeans. Ideal for a more dressy or summery style. The 12 oz canvas is all-season. It goes just as well with a t-shirt, a sweatshirt or a shirt.

Black canvas
The essential black jeans, for a change from classic denim. We wear them for work or whether we go out for a vernissage, an afterwork or a rock concert, these jeans will adapt to all situations.

The ultimate stretch. The jeans that are as comfortable as you want them to be for sipping a White Russian on your couch or helping friends move.

Soft Blue - Three years
Like its rinsed canvas counterpart, the 3-year washed jeans are absolutely comfortable. The wash gives a rather spring-like style.
