Weaving is the essence of our brand, the main reason for our business.
We created Ateliers de Nîmes with the aim of weaving our own fabrics. This step is part of our DNA (Ateliers De Nîmes, do you get it?) and allows us to proudly claim our position: to be the only French brand and one of the few in the world to produce a unique fabric in-house, a Denim de Nîmes fabric!
The soul of our workshops, the latter allows us to breathe new life into local and ancestral know-how. By weaving in Nîmes, we are committed to highlighting new techniques that have been forgotten for too long, to exclusively offer an exceptional canvas and to invent a unique brand of its kind.
Aware of current and future challenges, we use twisted yarns to make this weave more environmentally friendly. By weaving this type of yarn, an additional mechanical process and more cotton than a classic thread are necessary, but they provide more strength to our jeans and make them more durable. This unique technique allows us to do without sizing on the threads, which helps save around 20,000 liters of water during the finishing process on one weave alone.
Every day, we strive to reduce our ecological footprint. Weaving in Nîmes in our workshop allows us to control this component, also allowing a total ban on the use of solvents and chemical finishes, to offer you responsible products, made with strict respect for people and the environment.
The ingredients of an exceptional pair of jeans
For each stage of manufacturing our pants, from the choice of cotton to the washing, our decisions are always motivated by the search for quality, respect for the environment and people.
A double twisted thread
In addition to giving more strength and therefore more durability to our denim, the use of a twisted thread saves 75% of water compared to classic jeans.
